Spain has the largest area of land dedicated to winemaking in the world - some of it good, some terrible. The oaky Riojas to the north and crisp Cava of Catalonia are the best known, but look out because good vintages and some serious investment are resulting in some really innovative winemaking and wines from regions like Artadi, Ribera del Duero and Navarra are worth watching.
