Wonderful flavors in this smooth Vin de Pays from Domaine Les Aphillanthes. Grenache, Syrah and Mourvdre. Biodynamic

 

75% Grenache, 15% Carignan and 10% Mourvedre. Delicious, smooth biodynamically made wine. Medium weight.

 

60% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 20% Mourvedre. Biodynamic wine. A great nose; meaty, gamey, with Grenache-derived medicinal cherry and strawberry nose. Full, sweet, slightly herby palate. More concentrated Grenache character. Rounded,some pepper and chalk-edged tannins. Strong finish. Rich and very ready now, but will keep for a few years.

 

80% Grenache and 20% Mourvedre. Aged in oak for 12 months. Biodynamically produced from old vines.
