Rare Highland distillery just north of Fort William.Un-chill filtered 15yr old showing citrus, smoke spice and chocolate notes. Matured in ex-sherry cask.

A malt in the tradition of Highland malts...The nose is full, and reveals clearly smells of citrus oil and cigar smoke. The impression in the palate is of the house style: Fairly full, nutty and chocolatey and warm, due to the alcohol. Smoke is present and lets emerge some orange, chocolate and tarry phenol hints.

The Signatory Vintage Scotch Whisky company is an independent scotch whisky bottler who started fifteen years ago with the purchase of a single barrel. From humble beginnings they have gone from from strength to strength, bottling some of the finest whisky in Scotland. Specialising in single barrel bottling from refined malt whisky producers they concentrate on individuality of flavour, finesse and quality.

The recent purchase of Edradour adds to their portfolio of quality and individual whisky. Edradour is Scotland's smallest distillery nestled in a pocket glen in the hills above Pitlochry producing only 12 casks of the 10 year old a week. Obviously this means that there is limited quantity and each of their bottles are numbered and dated.

There are five distilleries in the West Highlands, three on islands and two on the mainland. The island distilleries are: Jura (Isle of Jura), Ledaig/Tobermory (Isle of Mull) and Talisker (Isle of Skye). The mainland distilleries are: Oban (in Oban) and Ben Nevis (at Fort William).

Ben Nevis Distillery established in 1825, is one of the oldest licensed distilleries in Scotland. Ben Nevis Distillery takes its name from, and stands in the shadow of, the highest mountain in Great Britain, this imposing mountain provides an impressive background to a traditional Scottish craft.

Ben Nevis Distillery is a distillery in Scotland that distills Ben Nevis 10 year old and Ben Nevis 21 year old whisky . The distillery is located at the foot of Ben Nevis, it was established in 1825 by 'Long John' McDonald (who the blended Scotch Long John is named after), a redoubtable figure of 6'4", who presented a cask of his whisky to Queen Victoria. She had it laid down for fifteen years, and broached it on the Prince of Wales' 21 st birthday.
